Thematic Focus
The expression of the exhibition theme of The 10th Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Shenzhen) will continue the "Urban XX" format of previous editions, with the final theme proposed by the curator(s) of this edition and determined by the Academic Committee.The theme should respond to urban development trends and hot topics, consider the characteristics of the venue, explore future paths for sustainable urban development, and provide solutions and ideas for local practices.As a cutting-edge design platform, this edition of UABB hopes to continue providing opportunities and a nurturing ground for young architects, designers, scholars, and other creative forces with diverse identities and perspectives to express their creativity and interact.
Exhibition Structure
Structure of 10th UABB(Shenzhen)：Thematic Exhibition, Specialized Pavilion and UABB School.
Thematic Exhibition：The venue is located in Jingmi Community Park, including affiliated buildings such as the UABB Urban Station x Blue House. Through the exhibition UABB connects with the surrounding community and public spaces.
Special Pavilion：The venue includes the Hetao Science and Technology Innovation Center, as well as exhibition areas set up for areas for Hong Kong, Macao, other countries or regions, and sponsor partners Pavilions.
UABB School：UABB School is the education platform of UABB thatorganizes a series of courses/events during the exhibition period. On one side, it provides a communication platform for professionals, on the other side, wehope that it inspires citizens, shows them more knowledge about urban andarchitectural planning.
★ The exhibition venue may be adjusted according to the actual situation of the exhibition.
Eligibility
1. Understand and agree with basic values of Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Shenzhen).
2. The curatorial concept and expressions can represent current international cutting edge level.
3. Have general knowledge and understanding of urban and urbanization problems in China, especially for the Pearl River Delta and the city of Shenzhen, and timely response to current hot issues.
4. The proposal should revolve around the theme, adapt to local conditions, fully consider the characteristics of the venue, take into account the approach of locality and minimal intervention, while maintaining the academic standards of the exhibition.
5. Curators should possess the ability to integrate resources, propose an overall exhibition budget, and a viable funding plan for the exhibition, and ensure their implementation.
6. Possessing extensive industry mobilization capabilities and media promotion resources.Have the capability to promote the UABB to a higher level of international standards and influence.
